The other day I had my parents over for dinner at my new house in New Jersey. My wife and I spent a good time in the kitchen preparing them a nice meal for when they stopped by, and fortunately, everything was a complete success. The dinner was great and my family was really appreciative. It was terrific to see them and I was really glad that they came all that way just to spend a little time with my wife and me and get a good look at the new place. My parents thought that we selected a very nice place for ourselves, and I was happy to have their approval.
After they left, I was sad to see them go, but weÕll get together before too long. When they were here, I actually noticed the first flaw of my new house: the windows are drafty! My wife and I rarely sit at the dinner table, and when we all sat there, I noticed that I was pretty cold.
